The most random thing that happened to me in the middle of Seoul

So yesterday I was waiting for the train to come with three of my friends that came to visit the country. Then there's this girl wearing a bawal style hijab walking down the stairs. We were looking at her and I immediately assume she might be a Malaysian, because local malaysian girls can easily recognize other malaysian girl from the hijab style. The girl took a glance at us too, but she kept on walking since she was busy with her phone. Then when she stopped in front of the train-door next to us she took another look. At that moment we were still looking at her and when we caught her glance we smiled at her, and then slowly she smiled back and started walking towards us. Of course, realizing we were both Malaysians, we reached each other hands and said hello. The moment she heard our Malaysian's slang she was smiling with joy having to meet with another Malaysian in the city. When I saw her reaction I asked her if she was the only Malaysian student in her campus, and...

Waiting for my Guitar to arrive

My "Gamelan" friends from Malaysia is coming to visit Jeju/Seoul next week. I'm excited to hang out and be the tour guide for them. I still haven't decided if I should be flying home this year, because spending Aidilfitri in a foreign country sounds interesting and I might not be going home until 2014. So, I asked this friend of mine to bring me something from Malaysia. It was something that I missed so much. My guitar... Been doing some web-accounts-spring-cleaning and I found an old blog of mine where I kept all the songs I've written during my 3rd year in UniKL. It wasn't really radio material, but when I listened back to my songs I was quite impressed with myself because I haven't written any new stuff since I've graduated last year. So I decided to find back my muse. Hope I still got it (ã… _ã… ) Can't wait for my friends to arrive here, and my guitar!^^

Happy New Year Malaysia!!

What 2012 meant to me

At the beginning of this year there was only one thing I was excited about, my first internship. It was located at Cyberjaya , and seeing that commuting back and forth to my parents home will be a big hassle there's only one thing I have to do. Rent out a place of my own. I know that within the western culture having to live in your own place after college is a big deal. Well, not so much for most Malaysians. In my opinion, having your own place would either mean you got a huge sack of cash hidden somewhere, or you have a stable job that provide you more sack of cash. In other words, people with a lot of cash. On my first day of my internship, my colleague offered me a room in their terrace. Apparently no one was using the room anyway so it only make sense for me to rent it. Plus I don't even have to worry about driving since we can carpool together. The room didn't come with a bed but one of them lent me an extra mattress she got from her old neighbour-friend that move...

EXCHANGE STUDENT TRAVEL TIPS PART 3: FOOD

*for TIPS Part 1 << click here TIPS Part 2 << click here Especially for the Muslim-Malaysian students, you guys might be worried about your meal plan in a non-islamic country. This is one of those experience that made me missed my country so much and made me realize how much I really love BEEF! For the most part, basically Korean food culture are "almost" similar to us. Koreans also love Rice and Noodles, and you can find these items conveniently at any convenient store.... forgive my unintentional pun :p Anywho~ Koreans also love vegetables, and I mean they Love their Kimchi. I say this because you can find this in every restaurant, except in the Fast Food restaurant... and coffee shops. You'll notice that the Koreans love it so much because even if you didn't ask for it they will still give it to you as one of the side dishes, for Free! At first bite Malaysians might hate it, because it got that slight vinegar taste, and it's not...
